Horsing Around...

Just needed to show you a few horse finds....I didn't like "horse stuff" at first.... only the real thing... guess I didn't want to make my horses jealous
But I have gained an appreciation for all horse stuff.... and even pics

Look at a few trophies I picked up.... and remembering all the ones that we have thrown away in the past.... my parents I think finally got tired of them cluttering up everywhere.... we had hundreds.... so I don't blame them.... they gave me several of mine.... but then I got tired of dusting them... and had to make room for the kids stuff.....

Even love the old west pics here.... especially the frames.... these pics remind me of the countryside when my parents ranched out in West Texas.... and I do mean the west...
Sierra Blanca to be exact

Love the old brands on the frames..

I just love horses.... always have.. guess always will... the good things about these types of horse items.... no feed, no vet, no taking care of on snowy or rainy cold mornings and evenings.
But I still have my real, live horses.... and guess I better head out and tend to them.

  1. Awww, I love that first little horsey!
Admittedly, I'm not a cowgirl. I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to mounting up! Guess I need to spend some time at the ranch with ya!

  2. Those trophies are just wonderful! I had a couple of horses when I was young, but never much of a horsewoman. My husband and I really love the "old" cowboy memorabilia, late 1800's early 1900's!

  3. Effie,
Oh, it was SO good to hear from you! My parent's had just asked Jay and I yesterday if we had heard from you. I filed your email and filed it a little too well-I couldn't find it! It has been an unseasonably cold winter here too. We only had snow once but we have not seen 70 since last November. We are coming to Texas in March and will be setting up at Marburger. We will come over and visit you when we get in! See you soon and if you could warm it up a little before we get there :) we would appreciate it.
